This is such a great program! My daughter loves going every week. She has been gaining lots of confidence and coordination in this class which exposes her to art, music, tap, ballet, drama and early literacy. She is full of smiles when she knows it’s dance preschool time. The teachers are great, enthusiastic and love what they do. So glad we found this performing arts program.

We love this warm and inclusive preschool and dance program that my 4 year old has attended over the past year.
Ms Charmin and Ms Tallulah bring a lot of care and thought into the activities they present each week. The pre-school component of the day includes play, art, math, science, reading and games in a fun, age-appropriate way. The kids are encouraged to participate in the activity of their choice and I have seen my daughter move from more independent to group-play. The kids really seem to enjoy each other and play in a co-operative manner. The classroom is light and bright with a peaceful vibe. My daughter always comes home with fun projects and I get a thorough verbal report from the teachers at pick-up. They are also great about explaining why they’ve chosen each learning station and they’ve taught me a lot about different components of play and how they relate to my daughter’s development. The instructors are super knowledgeable!
The dance portion of the day is fun, low-pressure and has been the perfect introduction to get my daughter excited about dance and performance. I have seen her developing a love for music and movement and overall confidence in using her voice and body. I love that they mix up the classes with different music (I have heard everything from country, latin to Taylor Swift) and dance (tap, ballet, hip hop, and even time at the microphone). I see lots of free-style movement and more structured choreography. It’s a really lovely way to build our kid’s confidence and love for dance and music!
Overall I am pleased with the level of instruction, the structure of the day (preschool mixed with dance and also appreciate that they all sit down and eat their lunch together!), and the fact that the teachers take the time to get to know the kids on an individual level and bring lots of care and love to their day. Thank you Learning Stage!
